The Father of My Children

My kids have no idea how lucky they are to have such a loving, caring dad.
He's the expert at making them smile and laugh. He's patient and kind and warm. He is a provider. He will turn these boys into fine young men. Simply stated, he is a great daddy. I am totally in love with this side of my husband... a side I've only known for less than three years. I came across a few photos I wanted to share... a little walk down memory lane.

I absolutely love and cherish morning snuggle time. The warmth and love from these children all nestled up with me is pure joy. I am not usually one to wish that time stand still and the kids not grow up... I typically look forward to seeing what happens in the next stage of their lives. But, when it comes to snuggling, I just want to pause the clock. I want to hug a little longer, give more kisses, see more smiles (and dimples) and hear more laughter. I want them to keep their baby feet and their amazingly soft skin. I want soak up the sight of the contrast of a tiny baby tucked in my husband's big muscular arm. I know that all is right in my world when all my boys (husband included) are snuggled up with me before the start of the day.

Holden Beach Photos- A Sneak Peak

If you know me, you know I have over 100 photos of the beach trip. I am obviously not going to post them all here. And, of late, many of my photos are on my phone. It's often the quickest thing for me to grab if I want to capture a moment. I haven't uploaded those shots yet, so here are just a few memories to post.

We stopped in Augusta for a quick visit with Erin and Abigail. I had packed our lunches, so we ate there and I nursed Jack. "Uncle Tewart" rode with us to the beach, so he was the backseat buddy for the boys. I just look at these two cousins together and can't imagine how it's possible that they are 6 days apart. How special!

Davis had so much fun playing with his dad on the beach. They made sandcastles and swimming pools.

Birthday Weekend

We had such a nice Memorial Day Weekend this year. We headed to the lake on Saturday to celebrate Cailen's graduation with the family. It was a beautiful weekend and we had fun hanging out with the family. Kelly and Scott put together a photo montage video of Cailen growing up which was great. She is such a beautiful girl, inside and out.

Davis LOVED playing in the water with his dad, and it wasn't too hot for Jack to be outside in the shade. My birthday was Sunday, and it worked out for some of my oldest friends to join us for the day and celebrate. Barron grilled luch for us all and it was fun to just hang out and catch up with everyone. It's definitely different with husbands and kids- compared to hanging out the lake in high school!
